Every lodge on the Gaia waterfront runs a tour and they are not the same. The 15 below compare how many ports you taste, whether a vintage is poured, and which ones add a fado show or a cellar you can walk.
Spend one hour at Casa do Fado in Porto’s historic center, hearing a singer and Portuguese guitarists perform live while a host explains fado’s origins. Venues include a former cellar, luthier workshop, or church pantry. Ricardo, Diogo, and Carla have helped make the music and stories memorable.

At Lisboa em Fado in Baixa Chiado, you’ll hear two singers and two guitarists perform 10 Fados and an instrumental piece without microphones. Short English introductions with Portuguese subtitles explain the music, its instruments, and Lisbon. Your ticket includes Port wine or juice.

“The boat cruise was excellent! They let you move around to the front, top, and back to get the best views so it’s never too crowded. They are very knowledgeable about Porto, Gaia, and the bridges. There is a bathroom and blankets on the boat, so we always had whatever we needed. The port tasting was also great!”
