Leave Barcelona by air-conditioned bus, ride the cogwheel train to Montserrat, visit the basilica with an English-speaking guide, and choose a winery tasting, tapas, full lunch, or Montserrat-only package. Guides such as Thais, Toni, Mariana, and Laia are praised for lively local insight.

“Absolutely loved it, worth the time & money spent! Mariana was amazing, loved learning about the history of Spain and the history of Montserrat. The bus ride was comfortable and short enough, and the cogwheel train was the same. We were lucky enough to have a lovely, mostly clear day in Montserrat, which made the perfect set up for our wine tasting + tapas session later. This seems like a long tour, but the time you spend at Montserrat actually goes by so fast, because there are so many things to do. So your free time is actually fairly limited here, really would’ve maybe loved another hour or so to…”

“Azul was an excellent guide!!! We started the day on a super comfortable air conditioned bus and made our way to the cog wheel train. Along the way we were given a 2,000 year history lesson in about 15 minutes, jokes included. Upon arrival, we were able to break off into small groups and get a guided tour of the monastery area before being given some free time to explore. We chose the tapas and wine tasting tour and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this tour!!!”
